Everyone is invited to join us for our 2nd Fun Ride!

We are celebrating life, friendships, and the privilege of riding.

* This is not a training ride *

The pace will be whatever it needs to be to keep everyone together. Please wear off your endorphins on Saturday, and be prepared to ride easy on Sunday to enjoy a relaxing time and everyone around you.

The ride will start at 8:00am from the Publix on East Lake and Tampa roads. We will ride for about 30+/- miles, stop for 30 minutes at a park setting, and then ride for another 30+/- miles back to the Publix. During the 30 minutes break at the park setting, we will have some snacks and refreshments and participate in some fun trivia.

As it is this case always with this type of ride, we will keep the group together unless we need to break it into smaller groups based on who shows up. On our first Fun Ride last year, we kept everyone together by riding at 18-22mhp and allowed hard efforts here-and-there to wear off some of the adrenalin.

FloridaVelo was organized to develop and support Competitive Cyclists. We define a Competitive Cyclist as anyone who strives to improve by riding and training with a purpose.

All FloridaVelo members are members of the Suncoast Cycling Club, and we support what the club does very well already by adding that little extra competitive purpose.

FloridaVelo is committed to improving every member’s riding skills, to sharing in their accomplishments, and to being ambassadors for the cycling community.
